eWON 2005 is the Industrial LAN/Modem Router for the machine builder, OEM,
infrastructure, utilities, and system integrator markets, featuring an IT LAN to
Industrial LAN IP router that also embeds a modem for remote access to the
Industrial LAN. Therefore any PLC or automation equipment connected to the
Industrial LAN (through Ethernet) or through the serial port can be accessed
both ways: from the IT LAN and/or from any remote network or Internet, via the
modem. Seamlessly integrated with the PLC programming environment, eWON
2005 still monitors and collects data into internal tags while PLC maintenance is
performed. eWON 2005 has both Web and FTP servers embedded as well as
an independent alarm management system. |

1. ADSL Remote Maintenance
With its embedded modem, eWON is your access and your service gateway to perform Remote Maintenance on distant equipment. Once the call is established, your programming application accesses the PLC (or the device) transparently, from the programming port or from the Ethernet socket, as if it were in the room next door. |

2. Secure Site-to-Site
With two sites connected to the Internet, it is possible to create a secure VPN connection to exchange data as if both locations were on the same LAN. This method is ideal for replacing old leased lines with a modern, flexible and secure network link.
eWON brings this technology within your grasp, enabling one single data-acquisition system or SCADA to access & seamlessly integrate real-time data from both sites into a single Historian, MES or ERP company package. |

3. Extranet/Permanent (ADSL) Centralized Monitoring
It is now possible to create your own 'Application Private Network' using eWON units i.e. use VPN technology through broadband Internet access to securely link all of your remote sites and your central monitoring station on the same 'virtual cable', for data-acquisition, remote monitoring and alarm notification purposes. |
